Ingredients

  • 4 British turkey breast steaks
  • 2 tblsp olive oil
  • handful fresh basil leaves
  • 2 cloves of garlic, peeled and crushed
  • 2 large oranges

Instructions

Juice one of the oranges and cut the other into even slices across the fruit.

Reserve four basil leaves and tear the remainder into rough shreds.

Mix together the orange juice, olive oil, garlic and torn basil leaves.

Marinate the turkey steaks and orange slice in this mixture for at least 20 minutes.

Drain turkey and orange slices. Cook the turkey steaks on a griddle for 5 minutes each side, or until the juices run clear when pierced by a knife.

Add the orange slices for the last 5 minutes of cooking, ensuring they are slightly caramelised on each side.

Serve each turkey steak with two slices of orange, garnished with the reserved basil leaves, plus baked potatoes and salad.
